I personally hink his two solo albums are just as god as anything he produced, especially his first. Oh wait, he has three but I haven't hear the last one.

I saw him at N.O. Jazzfest in '87 - he was very good live.

I have nothing against Lanois. I recommend his seminal work with Martha And The Muffins, for instance...

Are you sure he wasn't the production genius behind Mojo Nixon and Skid Ropers' "I Wanna Be Stuffin' Martha's Muffin"?
